nodejs-legacy software package provides evented I/O for V8 javascript (legacy symlink), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nodejs-legacy
nodejs-legacy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nodejs-legacy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nodejs-legacy *
You will get with nodejs-legacy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
